USS Walke (DD-34) undergoing repairs, March 1914
Here we see repairs being carried out on the Monaghan class destroyer USS Walke (DD-18), at Dry Tortugas, Florida on 17 March 1914. The arrow points to the hole that needed patching. A diver had to be sent down to fix the hole, and he operated from this platform supported by two boats.
