USS Ammen (DD-35) and RMS Mauretania, New York, 1919
This picture shows the Monaghan class destroyer USS Ammen (DD-35) (far right), and several other unidentified US naval vessels, alongside the liner RMS Mauretania, at New York on 7 April 1919. At this point the Mauretania was still in use as a troop ship, so the men on deck were probably US servicemen returning from Europe.
